I was supposed to spend 3 weeks this summer running around Fort Picket in Virginia playing soldier. One thing lead to another and the plans fell through. I am self employed and had made arrangements to be away. The next thing I know I have a 3 week hole in my schedule with nothing to do. What to do, what to do? I packed my car and my daughter and we ran over to Greenville, SC where I have family and a few rental properties. After spending a few days breaking my back knocking out a few items that have been on my “to do” list for far too long, I looked at my sister and said, “hey, let run up to the mountains tomorrow.” So we did.
We drove up to Bald Rock and then Caesars Head, both in Greenville County. After looking off the side of the mountain we decided to keep going. We traveled into DuPont Forrest and stopped at Triple and Hooker Falls. After spending several hours exploring the falls we headed down into Hendersonville, NC and ate lunch at the Peddler Steak House. We then scooted over to Chimney Rock, NC. A place that is very special to me. Not a bad way to spend a Thursday. I hope you enjoy the shots.
