I can’t really say that I am a big Ford fan, however this car is hot. It was sitting next to the road on Main Street in Taylors, SC and I drove past it one too many times. I had to stop and get a picture of it. While I was taking a picture the car’s owner, David Sitarski of Supertune Automotive Specialty Products came out and popped the hood. I asked David if he had any reservations about his car being on my site, and here she is. Turns out they do some really cool high end welding and fabrication at Supertune. If you are in the market, look them up.
This is a 1968 Mustang, the same model, different color, than the one used in the Steve McQueen movie “Bullet.” Bullet rates about a 9 on the Man Movie Meter. If you have never seen it, you should check it out. The 68 Mustang and the Steve McQueen / Bullet legend were brought back to life with the 2002 Sheryl Crow song and video “Steve McQueen.” If you have never heard the song, you can hear it here. The video features a cameo by another “not a big Ford fan,” Dale Earnhardt Jr.. Jr. is under contract with Chevy, but GM must have been willing to look the other way for this video. After all, the Earnhardt and Mustang names are pieces of Americana. Thanks for letting me take some shots of your car David.
